geography

Dolneni is a Haufendorf in the northern half of Prilepsko poles , the high level of Prilep , the part of the region Pelagonia is. The settlement is quite central in the plain; the mountains of the Luben begin after 15 kilometers in the west, the mountains called Dautica are ten kilometers in the north and the hill country of the Babuna is also ten kilometers in the east. Thus, with the exception of the south, Dolneni is surrounded by mountains. Only a few elevations cross the plateau and on the direct route to Prilep - the next largest city - a range of hills in the east grazes the main road.

The Stara , a tributary of the Blato , which belongs to the Crna Reka river system and flows through the plateau from north to south, flows southeast of the village . Another body of water in the vicinity of Dolneni is a moor just under two kilometers to the southwest.

The plateau is heavily used for agriculture, livestock and milk production, which is why there are no forests in the vicinity.

The climate in the region is strongly continental ; the winters are very cold and rainy, the summers are hot and dry.
