The Dolon , French le Dolon , is a 33.5 km long left tributary of the Rhône in the French departments of Isère and Drôme . It flows into the Rhône Lateral Canal called Dérivation de Péage-de-Roussillon near Chanas .

On the first kilometer for the source of Dolon passes, here's a small stream, four storage ponds, of which the third Etang de l'Amour Blanc ( " grass carp pond") and the fourth Etang des Moilles is.
It then flows through a valley on the northern border of the municipality of Revel-Tourdan and reaches at Pact, 3 km northeast of Jarcieu , an glacial valley that begins at Lac de Paladru and whose western part it drains. To the west, this valley, which is almost 200 m above sea level, almost merges with the glacial “Ur” - Isère valley that begins at Voreppe . Soon after reaching the glacial valley, the Dolon takes its only significant left tributary, the 11.9 km long Derroy stream (SANDRE V3320540). The Bège flows from the right at Bougé-Chambalude (12.8 km, SANDRE V3320580). Above its tributary Grand Rival , it is called Ambroz or L'Ambre , not to be confused with the Lambroz , also Le Lambre (14 km, SANDRE V3320620), which flows into the Dolon at Chanas .
After crossing under the Autoroute du Soleil and the Paris – Marseille railway line that accompanies the Rhône , the Dolon reaches the 25.7 km long Sanne (SANDRE V3330500) coming from the north and continues its direction after one kilometer at an acute angle into the Rhône Lateral Canal to flow.
