Domenico Sbordone (born September 3, 1969 in Munich ) is a former German football player of Italian descent.
Career
Sbordone belonged to the amateur team of FC Bayern Munich for the 1988/89 season , for which he played five point games in the then third-class Bayernliga . In the following season he switched to league competitor MTV Ingolstadt , where he received significantly more stakes with 16 point games.
In the 1992/93 season he played 20 league games for TSV Eching before he was signed for the following season by FC Augsburg . He was used in 31 of 32 season games and scored his first goal on April 12, 1994 (20th match day) in a 2-0 win in the away game against SpVgg Plattling with the goal of the final score in the 71st minute.
After the reintroduction of the regional leagues at the start of the 1994/95 season , he played with his team, which had qualified as Bayern champions, in the now third- tier Regionalliga Süd , in which he played 33 of 34 league games and scored three goals.
Committed to the 1995/96 season by Eintracht Frankfurt and played in seven Bundesliga games, he played his first on August 12, 1995 (1st matchday) in a 2-2 home game against Karlsruher SC from the start. After the relegation of Frankfurt at the end of the season as 17th, he left the club.
From 1996 to 2003 he played in the 2nd Bundesliga , first until 2001 for SpVgg Greuther Fürth , then for SSV Reutlingen 05 ; During this time he played a total of 155 second division games, in which he scored two goals, and 13 games in the DFB Cup competition. From the 2008/09 season he formed the central defense of the national division club SV Nehren with former FC Bayern Munich professional Kurt Kremm , where Jochen Weigl also let his career end. Sbordone has been a player-coach in Nehren since 2011.
He played his last three seasons for SV Nehren , from the municipality of the same name in the Tübingen district . In 2010/11 and 2011/12 he played in the sixth-class Verbandsliga Württemberg , in 2012/13 in the Landesliga Württemberg 3 .
Others
Sbordone was considered a tough and tough defender. Thanks to his body length of 1.87 m, the header game was one of his absolute strengths.
