The village church is a listed church building in Klink , a municipality in the Mecklenburg Lake District ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ).

History and architecture

The simple, rectangular hall church was built from 1736 to 1742 without a tower in brick ; The clients were the landlord Jacob Ernst von Holstein and his wife Elisabeth Sophia, b. from Bülow . A barrel vault was drawn into the interior . What is unusual is that the choir is facing west. Above the south entrance is a sandstone plaque with the Holstein / Bülow alliance coat of arms and the year 1736 .

At the end of the 19th century, a crypt was built on the west side as a burial chapel for the manor.

Belfry

Instead of a tower , the church has a wooden belfry that stands apart from the church in the cemetery. The last of two bells originally hangs in it, which was cast in 1738 by Lorenz Strahlborn from Lübeck.

Pulpit altar

Furnishing

The furnishings were restored in the 1970s.

  • The pulpit altar in the west dates from the time the church was built. The basket is adorned with a damaged painting of the Evangelists and probably John the Baptist. At the pulpit door is the crucified Jesus.
  • The parapet of the former mansion gallery stands in front of the winter church .
  • A high quality carved relief shows the birth of Christ, it was made at the beginning of the 16th century.
  • The large, carved crib relief on the gallery on the east side was made in Oberammergau in the 1930s .

organ

In 1992 the church received an organ from the company Mitteldeutscher Orgelbau A. Voigt . It has a manual , four registers and an attached pedal .
