description
The former Romanesque hall church had a rectangular nave and a massive recessed choir tower . Structural changes were made around 1627 and 1771. The cone was removed and a two-part Gothic church consisting of a choir and nave was created. The tower shaft received a slate roof turret , which consists of an eight-sided attachment that houses the belfry . There is a bronze church bell dated 1885 hanging there . The second place is empty. On it sits a hood , which is crowned by an open lantern with a tower ball and a weathercock . The walled-up Romanesque portal can be seen on the south side of the nave .
The interior , covered with a wooden beam ceiling , was given a single-storey gallery in 1771 . Under the small, pointed triumphal arch, there is a simple, brick-built block altar and a wooden cafeteria . On the right side a breakthrough leads to the pulpit , which is carved out of stone. The organ with 6 registers , divided into a manual and a pedal , was built in the 19th century by an unknown organ builder . It is badly damaged and not playable because many organ pipes are missing. A harmonium serves as a replacement .
