The district of Rinconada Llícuar is located in the province of Sechura in the Piura region in northwestern Peru . The district was established on February 19, 1965. It has an area of ​​19.8 km². At the 2017 census, 3030 people lived in the district. In 1993 the population was 2363, in 2007 2855. The administrative seat is the 10  m high town Dos Pueblos with 3024 inhabitants (as of 2017). Dos Pueblos is 12.5 km north-northeast of the provincial capital of Sechura .

Geographical location

The district of Rinconada Llícuar is located in the northwest of the province of Sechura, on the right western bank of the Río Sechura . Irrigated agriculture is practiced in the district.

The district of Rinconada Llícuar is bordered in the southwest by the district of Sechura , in the northwest by the district of Vice , in the extreme north by the district of Bellavista de la Unión , in the northeast by the district of Bernal and in the southeast by the district of Cristo Nos Valga .
