The Bellavista de la Unión district is located in the Province of Sechura in the Piura region in northwestern Peru . The district was established on January 29, 1965. It has an area of 14.6 km². At the 2017 census, there were 4841 residents in the district. In 1993 the population was 3279, in 2007 it was 3954. The administrative seat is the 13 m high village Bellavista with 1629 inhabitants (as of 2017). Bellavista is located 15 km northeast of the provincial capital of Sechura .
Geographical location
The Bellavista de la Unión district is located in the northwest of the Province of Sechura, on the left eastern bank of the Río Sechura . Irrigated agriculture is practiced in the district.
The Bellavista de la Unión district borders in the extreme southwest on the Rinconada Llícuar district , in the west on the Vice district , in the north on the La Unión district ( Piura province ) and in the southeast on the Bernal district .
