Douglas O'Keeffe

Douglas Stewart O'Keeffe , sometimes Douglas O'Keefe and Doug O'Keefe , (born June 5, 1966 in Calgary , Alberta ) is a Canadian actor .

Life

Douglas O'Keeffe has Irish ancestry. He grew up in a small town in Ontario and has a younger sister. O'Keeffe graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Masters Degree . His major subjects were Sociology, Philosophy, and Art and Science of Coaching . He took part in two world championships with the Canadian bobsleigh team and traveled to international sports competitions for two years. He then turned to acting and now commutes between Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles and New York.

O'Keeffe played supporting roles in the science fiction film Networked - Johnny Mnemonic (1995) by director Robert Longo with Keanu Reeves , in the thriller Murder in the White House (1997) by Dwight H. Little with Wesley Snipes and Diane Lane , in the thriller Road Trip to Hell (2000) by TJ Scott with Meat Loaf and in the film drama Nuremberg - In the Name of Humanity (2000) by Yves Simoneau with Alec Baldwin .

In the dramatic agent series Nikita , O'Keeffe starred in two episodes as David Fanning , Lisa's ( Yvonne Sciò ) violent husband . In the real-time series 24 with Kiefer Sutherland , he appeared in some episodes of the second season as Eddie Grant .

In the action film Legacy (1998) by director TJ Scott with David Hasselhoff and Rod Steiger , O'Keeffe worked as a second-unit director. In the short film The Edge (2003) he was director, screenwriter, cameraman, producer and responsible for the film editing. He wrote the scripts The Golf Warrior and Hockey Buddha .
