Dovilė Kilty (born July 14, 1993 in Šiauliai as Dovilė Dzindzaletaitė ) is a Lithuanian long and triple jumper .

Athletic career

Dovilė Kilty gained her first international experience at the European Youth Olympic Festival 2009 in Tampere , where she finished twelfth in the long jump with 5.44 m and failed to make a valid attempt in the triple jump. The following year, she took first place in the B final at the first-ever Youth Olympic Games in Singapore with 12.40 m. In 2011 she took part in the Junior European Championships in Tallinn , but was eliminated there with 12.32 m in the qualification. In 2012 she won the silver medal at the Junior World Championships in Barcelona with 14.17 m behind the equally wide Spaniard Ana Peleteiro . At the European Indoor Championships in Göteborg 2013 she was eliminated with 13.53 m in the first round and finished ninth at the U23 European Championships in Tampere with 13.11 m in the final.

In 2014 she qualified for the European Championships in Zurich , but clearly missed the finals there with a width of 13.44 m, as was the case at the 2015 European Indoor Championships in Prague with 13.67 m. At the U23 European Championships in Tallinn, she set a new Lithuanian record of 14.23 m and thus secured the gold medal. With this performance she qualified for the World Championships in Beijing and failed there with 13.58 m in the qualification . In 2016 she did not contest because of her pregnancy. In 2017 she took part again in the World Championships in London , but with a width of 13.97 m she could not qualify for the final . In 2018 she took twelfth place at the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham with 13.90 m and was eliminated from the qualification at the European Championships in Berlin with 13.75 m. Also at the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow the following year, she failed to qualify for a valid attempt.

From 2014 to 2016 as well as 2018 and 2019 Kilty was Lithuanian champion in the triple jump outdoors and from 2012 to 2015 and 2018 also indoors. She has been married to the British sprinter Richard Kilty since 2017 and has a son with him (* 2016). Since summer 2019 it starts under the name Kilty .
