Ana Peleteiro Brión (born December 2, 1995 in Ribeira ) is a Spanish triple jumper .

Athletic career

Ana Peleteiro gained her first international experience at the 2011 World Youth Championships near Lille , where she won the bronze medal with 12.92 m. Then she won the European Youth Olympic Festival in Trabzon with a width of 13.17 m. In the following year she celebrated winning the gold medal at the Junior World Championships in Barcelona with 14.17 m. In 2013 she won the bronze medal with 13.29 m at the Junior European Championships in Rieti and at the Junior World Championships the following year in Eugene , she finished sixth with 13.71 m. In 2016 she took part in the World Indoor Championships in Portland , where she finished eleventh with a jump to 13.59 m. At the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade in 2017 , she made it to the finals and finished in fifth place with 14.13 m. At the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz , Poland , she won the silver medal with 14.19 m and only just had to admit defeat to Romanian Elena Panțuroiu . A good three weeks later, she finished seventh at the World Championships in London with a new personal best of 14.23 m in the final .

At the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham , she won the bronze medal with a personal best of 14.40 m behind the Venezuelan Yulimar Rojas and Kimberly Williams from Jamaica. At the European Championships in Berlin she also won the bronze medal with a jump of 14.44 m behind the Greek Paraskevi Papachristou and Kristin Gierisch from Germany. In 2019 she won the European Indoor Championships in Glasgow with a new Spanish record of 14.73 m .

In 2015, 2017 and 2018 Peleteiro was the Spanish champion in the outdoor triple jump and in 2014 and from 2016 to 2018 also in the hall.
