action

Nino's 33rd birthday is just around the corner when he informs his mother that he will get married in three weeks. Not only the mother is surprised, but also his three sisters: Sonja is a writer and journalist, married to Hugo and has one child; Michelle is a charity worker, has five adopted children, and is married to Jan; Wanda, on the other hand, is a solo artist and has had an affair with Hugo for a long time. All three are upset about Nino's decision because they know that Nino is gay, so he lived with the attractive Felix for many years. The marriage, they conclude, is purely a community of convenience, as their late father Nino promised the Portuguese family hotel Paraíso should he ever get married. He knew that Nino doesn't love women.

The three sisters go to Nino, who has just received a visit from the registrar. You tell him that Nino is gay. They also get to know Nino's friend Bo, who surprised them with her friendly manner. Wanda withdraws from any impending conflict because she recognizes Bo as an art critic and does not want to turn against her before her upcoming exhibition opening. Nevertheless, the three sisters plan to separate Nino and Bo. Wanda should talk to Nino because she knows him best. Nino denies being gay in front of her. However, he also makes it clear to her that the wedding takes place because he needs money. Therefore, he also plans to sell the hotel immediately after the wedding. The sisters now send Hugo to seduce Bo and thus dissuade him from the wedding, but Bo lets him down. Sonja, in turn, realizes that Hugo and Wanda are having an affair. She takes revenge by adding a scene in which she sleeps with Jan in a new article on women's fantasies. Hugo confronts Jan, who denies an affair but admits that he has always been in love with Sonja.

The three sisters decide to prevent the wedding on site in Portugal. Bo likes to take her with him, she can use any help with the wedding preparations. Because Bo, despite all the friendliness, panned Wanda's exhibition opening, Wanda is more determined than ever not to lose the hotel to her. The sisters finally tell Bo that Nino is gay and that he lived with Felix for a long time. Bo claims to have known this for a long time and particularly likes the open design of their relationship and marriage. Shortly afterwards she gets sick. A pregnancy test shows that she is expecting a child from Nino. In the time of her absence, doubts have arisen about this. He keeps watching Felix's cooking show on TV, but has a bigger secret: He's transsexual and has always felt trapped in the wrong body. He wanted to use the money from the hotel sale to finance his sex change . He looks for Felix disguised as a woman, but leaves without speaking to him. He finally reports to Jan and Hugo about his plans and they both support his surgery project, but also the wedding. They can no longer bear the sisters' fight for the hotel and neither have any ambitions to move to Portugal with their family. You make it clear to Nino that he can get a divorce very quickly. Bo's news that she is pregnant disrupts those plans. On the day of the wedding, it is the mother of the siblings who ensures that everything is clear. She invited Felix to the wedding and he appears shortly before Nino wants to say yes. Nino says no. A world collapses for Bo while the sisters celebrate. Nino in turn confesses his true feelings to Bo and she stands by him, dresses him as a bride and lets him go to Felix. He accepts Nino for who he is, and the registrar trusts Nino and Felix on the same day. Later you can see the nurses in the hospital. They go to see Nino, who has just had his first operation. Bo is also in the hospital because she gave birth to her child. Nino and Bo's beds are put together and Felix puts the newborn Nino in his arms.
