Du Chao ( Chinese  杜 超 , Pinyin Dù Chāo ; born October 18, 1982 ) is a former Chinese ice hockey player who played for various Chinese teams in the Asia League ice hockey .

Career

Du Chao began his career as an ice hockey player with the regional team in Harbin , for which he competed in the Chinese ice hockey league since 1999 and was national champion there in 2002 and 2003. Since 2004 he played with the team, which was renamed Hosa Ice Hockey Team in 2006 , in the Asia League Ice Hockey . When his team merged with the Changchun Fuao team, you too received a contract for the fusion product China Sharks in Shanghai . After a year he went back to the Chinese league after Qiqihar. From 2009 to the end of his career in 2010, he was on the ice for China Dragon in the Asia League Ice Hockey.

International

For China, Du Chao took part in the Asian Division I of the U18 World Junior Championship in 2000 in the junior division.

In the senior division, the striker was in China's squad at the Division I World Championships in 2002 , 2005 and 2007 as well as Division II in 2003 , 2004 , 2006 , when he was the second top scorer behind the South Korean Kim Ki-sung in 2008 and 2009 . He also represented his colors in qualifying for the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin .
