Dulcênio Fontes de Matos

Dulcênio Fontes de Matos (born October 19, 1958 in Lagarto , Sergipe ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Campina Grande .

Life

Dulcênio Fontes de Matos was ordained a priest on December 14, 1985 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him on April 18, 2001 auxiliary bishop in Aracaju and titular bishop of Cozyla . The Bishop of Estância , Hildebrando Mendes Costa , donated him episcopal ordination on June 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were José Palmeira Lessa , Archbishop of Aracaju, and Mário Rino Sivieri , Bishop of Propriá . He chose Pro Mundi Vita as his motto .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on July 12, 2006 Bishop of Palmeira dos Índios . On October 11, 2017, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Campina Grande . The inauguration took place on December 2nd of the same year.
