Manoel Delson Pedreira da Cruz OFMCap (born July 10, 1954 in Biritinga ) is a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Paraíba .

Life

Manoel Delson Pedreira da Cruz joined the religious community of the Capuchins , made his profession on January 17, 1978 and was ordained a priest on July 5, 1980 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on July 5, 2006 Bishop of Caicó . The Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia , Geraldo Majella Cardinal Agnelo , donated him episcopal ordination on September 24th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Matias Patrício de Macêdo , Archbishop of Natal , and Itamar Navildo Vian OFMCap, Archbishop of Feira de Santana . As a motto he chose IDE AOS MEUS IRMÃOS .

On August 8, 2012, he was appointed Bishop of Campina Grande .

Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Paraíba on March 8, 2017. The inauguration took place on May 20 of the same year.
