The Roman Catholic Diocese of Caicó ( lat. : Dioecesis Caicoënsis ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Caicó in the state of Rio Grande do Norte .
history
The diocese Caicó was on November 25, 1939 by Pope Pius XII. Erected from territory ceded by the Diocese of Natal and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Paraíba as a suffragan . On March 15, 1941, José de Medeiros Delgado was appointed first bishop.
On February 16, 1952, the Caicó diocese was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Natal as a suffragan.
