EZY (* 14. July 1992 in Dersim , Tunceli , Turkey as Can Ayaz ), formerly Aslan , is a Swiss rapper from Basel .

EZY was born in 1992 under the real name Can Ayaz in the Turkish province of Tunceli. He found access to hip-hop through battle rap . Fick still your story by Eko Fresh was one of the first albums that shaped him. In addition, it influenced American artists such as Tupac Shakur , The Notorious BIG and LL Cool J . From 2006 he started recording songs himself. After initially being active in the local scene in Basel, he generated first attention in Germany in 2011 with the song Connected with the Essen rapper KC Rebell .

In October 2014, Aslan's debut album Scars of Time was released . As a guest rapper he was able to win Ercandize , PA Sports and Moe Phoenix , among others . He subsequently appeared as support for prominent rappers such as Kollegah , Fard , PA Sports and KC Rebell. At the beginning of 2015 he signed a band takeover contract with the independent label Villa Records . Villa Records released the album Eazy in August 2016 . Bizzy Montana , Max Urban and Yüksel Kaya are represented with guest contributions. At number 62, the musician was published for the first time in the Swiss album charts. This was followed by appearances in the opening act for Eko Fresh , Sido , SSIO and Manuellsen .

At the beginning of 2017 he received a contract with the music distribution platform iGroove . A year later he changed his stage name to EZY and started working as a songwriter for other German-speaking rappers. As a solo artist, he also released the album Hype in 2018 , which was produced entirely by Chekaa. The rappers Manuellsen, PA Sports, Moe Phoenix, Juliano and Mziah appear as guests. Hype entered the Swiss charts at number 23. In May he performed at the Hook Up Festival. Shortly afterwards he was part of the line-up of the Out4Fame festival on the Schwarzen Heide in Hünxe . In 2019 EZY appeared on the EP JVA Volume 1 , which was included on Sinan-G's Jackpott album . He was also featured as a guest on the rapper Calo's mixtape Calofornia .
