From 1955 to 1966, Peschke played a total of 255 league games with three goals at Tasmania Berlin in the Berlin City League, Berlin Regionalliga and the Bundesliga. In addition, there are 15 final round matches for the German football championship (1959–1962), games for the Berlin State Cup, the DFB Cup , five games in the BL promotion round in 1964 and on September 12, 1962, a game in the away game in the Exhibition City Cup against DOS Utrecht .

Career

Tasmania Berlin, until 1966

Peschke played from 1955 for Tasmania Berlin in the first class of the Berlin City League, which was then regionally divided by the DFB . The following years developed very successfully for Peschke and Tasmania. In the last five years before the introduction of the central Bundesliga and the substructure of the second-class regional league, 1963/64, from 1959 to 1963, the blue-whites from Neukölln took first place three times (1959, 1960, 1962) and twice (1961, 1963) 2nd place. Nevertheless, Hertha BSC was nominated for the Bundesliga for their debut round in 1963/64 and Tas was divided into the second-class regional league. In the final round of the German championship he made his debut on May 16, 1959 in Dortmund's Rote Erde stadium in front of 30,000 spectators against Westfalia Herne in a 1-0 defeat by the West Champion. He directed the defense around goalkeeper Hans-Joachim Posinski , the defender couple Hans-Jürgen Bäsler and Horst Talaszus , the outside runners Horst Mauruschat and Horst Greuel ; the Tas attack around Wolfgang Neumann , Helmut Fiebach , Peter Engler , Armin Mauruschat and Harry Pinkpank failed because of the class of national goalkeeper Hans Tilkowski and colleagues. In front of 90,000 spectators, he lost the home game against Hamburger SV with 0-2 goals on May 30th . Center forward Uwe Seeler scored both goals for the north champions. In the 1960 finals , he and Tas won both games against the Southwest representative FK Pirmasens (2: 1, 5: 2), 2: 1 against the North Vice SV Werder Bremen and lost against the West Champion 1. FC Köln in front of 88,000 spectators with their storm aces Helmut Rahn , Christian Müller and Hans Schäfer narrowly with 1: 2 goals. In the 1962 final, which was shortened due to the World Cup in Chile, with only three games, he and his colleagues did well against 1. FC Nürnberg (1: 2), FC Schalke 04 (1: 1) and Borussia Neunkirchen (1: 0) finished second with his team with 3: 3 goals and 3: 3 points. In the last year of first-class league football, 1962/63 , Peschke played all 27 city league games in the runner-up, including the last game on May 19, 1963, when Tas won the home game against Spandauer SV with 9-2 goals.

In the games for the DFB Cup, the 1958 entry into the semi-finals against Fortuna Düsseldorf stands out. In the qualification, Peschke and colleagues had prevailed in two games against VfL Osnabrück (1: 1 n.V., 3: 1) and just failed to make it into the final on October 26, 1958 with a 1: 2 defeat against the men around Matthias Mauritz , Erich Juskowiak and Jupp Derwall . In 1961 he survived the first main round with his team with a 4-1 home win against Altona 93 and lost in the quarterfinals with 1: 2 goals after extra time against 1. FC Kaiserslautern . He missed the chance of a foul penalty in the 60th minute. The 1-0 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt in 1962 - the goal scorer was center forward Erwin Stein - also deserved respect. Again Peschke survived the first main round with Tas 1963; they won 3-1 goals at Concordia Hamburg . In the quarter-finals on July 31st at Bremen's Weserstadion they lost 0-1 goals against SV Werder Bremen , who were in the new Bundesliga and opened the Bundesliga series on August 24th with a 3-2 win against Borussia Dortmund.

The regional league championship was won in 1963/64 with the regular middle runner in the World Cup system , which was mostly practiced at the time , which was characterized by great reliability and pronounced strategic skills . In 27 league games, the opposing attackers scored only 22 goals against the Tas defensive led by Peschke . In the promotion round to the Bundesliga, the Berlin champions surprised in particular with the victories against the later surprise climber Borussia Neunkirchen (5: 1) and the clear favorite FC Bayern Munich (3: 0). Center forward Heinz Fischer , who had already scored 24 goals in 25 league games in Berlin, distinguished himself as the top scorer in the promotion round with seven goals. In the second regional league year, 1964/65, Peschke and colleagues took only third place with Tas in Berlin, although center forward Fischer again took the top scorer's crown with 25 goals. Master Tennis Borussia Berlin finished fourth and last group place in the BL promotion round with 3: 9 points. Since Hertha BSC had been excluded from the Bundesliga after the season by the DFB for violating the licensed player statute - the Berliners had paid their active players more than the DFB statute stipulated - the two regular relegated Schalke 04 and the Karlsruher SC were increased 18 places in the Bundesliga were allowed to remain, space was created for a Berlin Bundesliga club. TeBe and runner-up Spandauer SV waived, Tasmania 1900 accepted the offer and was accepted into the Bundesliga for the 1965/66 round.

Striker Heinz Fischer, of all people , had already signed a contract with Eintracht Gelsenkirchen and could not go with the blue-whites on the way to the first class. At the last minute, the 31-year-old Italian professional and national player Horst Szymaniak was signed by FC Varese. The same age Peschke completed 15 games in the 1965/66 season . In May 1966 he ended the Bundesliga season as an active player in the last games on the 33rd and 34th matchdays against Borussia Neunkirchen (2-1 home win) and the 0-4 defeat on the final day at Schalke 04. Tas rose with only two wins and eight points again.

Finale

Peschke moved after relegation to Lichterfelder SU and from the 1967/68 season to 1. FC Neukölln in the Regionalliga Berlin . From 1966 to 1970 he completed another 93 league games (1 goal) before ending his playing career.
