Eddy Island is a small uninhabited island of the Andreanof Islands , which belong to the Aleutian Islands .
The island, about 800 m long and just above sea level, can be found on the west coast of Adak Island . Eddy got his name in 1934 from members of the American Aleutian expedition due to the strong ocean currents that can be found around the island.
