Asuksak Island is a small uninhabited island of the Andreanof Islands , which belong to the Aleutian Islands . The 1.6 km long and 21 m high island is west of Umak Island and south of Great Sitkin Island .
In 1852, Asuksak was first recorded by Michail Tebenkow in the nautical charts as "O (strov) Asukhsakh" . The name is probably from the Aleut , derived from the word "asux", which means as much as boilers.
