Aziak Island (also Azki , Azlak , Azyak , Azik or Azaik ) is a small uninhabited island of the Andreanof Islands , which belong to the Aleutian Islands . The island is about 1.7 km long and at its highest point is about 58 m above sea level.
The name Aziak comes from the Aleut word ha-Azax . Until 1920 the island was listed under Sledge Island on the maps. To avoid confusion with an island 1500 km north, it was given its original Aleut name.
