Eduard Peschl

Eduard Ferdinand III. Peschl (born September 7, 1903 in Passau ; † January 19, 1999 there ) was a German entrepreneur and functionary.

Life

He was born as the son of Eduard Ferdinand II. Peschl (1878-1939) and Ursula Peschl (née Adler) on September 7, 1903 in Passau. After his school education from 1909 to 1922, he completed an apprenticeship as a brewer in his parents' brewery Peschl-Bräu . After completing his commercial and technical training, he studied at the Weihenstephan Faculty of Technical University in Munich until 1927. He was the fourth generation to manage his parents' brewery from 1939 to 1986. Two years after his retirement, the brewery was transferred to the Aldersbach brewery sold.

Besides being a brewer he spent much time with the collection of stamps . In this context he was a regular employee of the Deutsche Briefmarken-Zeitung from 1934 to 1943 and published several books. He was also a recognized person for the authenticity of postage stamps as an auditor in the Association of Philatelic Auditors . His collection was sold in three auctions between April 2000 and May 2001.

He also held a number of honorary posts , including the presidency of the Lower Bavaria Chamber of Commerce and Industry , the Bavarian Brewers 'Association and the German Brewers' Association .

Eduard Peschl married Leonore Peschl (née Eckert) from Linz (Austria) on May 16, 1931 . They have a son together, Ernst Karl Peschl (* 1944). The mathematician Ernst Peschl was Eduard Peschl's brother.
