Edwin von Hacke
Edwin Carl Wilhelm Graf von Hacke (born December 18, 1821 in Berlin ; † February 3, 1890 in Palermo ) was a manor owner, sugar manufacturer and member of the German Reichstag .
Life
Hacke was a son of Wilhelm Georg Werner Graf von Hacke and Julie born. from Marshal. He attended the educational institution of the evangelical congregation in Niesky and the Kölln high school in Berlin. He studied law and administration at the universities of Heidelberg and Berlin . In 1847 he became an auscultator in Naumburg an der Saale and in 1850 a government trainee in Erfurt .
From 1852 he was a farmer and worked in district municipal offices, from 1854 he managed the manor Altranft, where he was also co-owner of the Altranfter sugar factory H. Jung & Co. As a Landwehr officer he was called up for service more often and in 1863 he was retired as Premier-Lieutenant .
From 1861 to 1866 and 1877 to 1882 he was a representative of the 5th Potsdam electoral district (Ober- and Niederbarnim districts ) in the Prussian House of Representatives and belonged to the left center, later to the national liberal party . Between 1874 and 1877 and from 1884 to 1887 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Potsdam Administrative Region 5 ( Oberbarnim ) and the National Liberal Party .
In 1878 he had the Altranft manor house, which his family had acquired in 1820, converted into its present form. Since 1860 he was married to Veronika Franziska von Flemming . The marriage came from the daughter Freda (1870-1912), who married Arnold Freiherrn von Eckhardtstein on Klosterdorf in 1892 .
