Badges of honor of the federal states of the Federal Republic of Germany

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The badges of honor of the federal states of the Federal Republic of Germany are state decorations of honor of the individual federal states , which are awarded for many years of voluntary work .

In contrast to the rescue medals and the orders of merit (with the exception of Bremen and Hamburg ), not all 16 federal states award their own badges of honor. Hesse and Thuringia have letters of honor, to which the associated badges of honor were donated. The country-specific award criteria are similar, however, as long-term involvement in organizations with cultural or social goals or activities in local self-government are recognized.
