The 2000/01 season was the 41st season of the Eredivisie , the highest Dutch ice hockey division . The Tilburg Trappers became champions for the eleventh time in the club's history .

In the main round, the six teams played 20 games each. For the second round, the league was divided into two groups. The three teams in Group A and the first in Group B qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
