The 2001/02 season was the 42nd season of the Eredivisie , the highest Dutch ice hockey division . The champions were the Boretti Tigers Amsterdam for the third time in the club's history .

The main round was divided into four sections. During the first three main round sections, the five teams could each achieve between zero and four bonus points. These were added to the result of the fourth main round section. The four best-placed teams of the last main round section qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played off. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a loss after overtime and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
