Ekkes Frank

Ekkes Frank (actually Ekkehard-Frieder Frank , born July 24, 1939 in Heidelberg ) is a German songwriter , writer and cabaret artist .

Life

Ekkes Frank studied philosophy and art history at the University of Heidelberg after graduating from high school in 1958 . In 1960 he switched to law and continued his studies in Munich. After completing the first and second state exams, he worked as a lawyer. He was co-founder, author and participant of the student cabaret Die Stichlinge , which was founded in 1964. As a result he wrote numerous texts for other cabarets, including for Kom (m) ödchen in Düsseldorf, Die Zwiebel in Munich and for the Renitenztheater in Stuttgart. In the 1970s he worked as a producer and screenwriter for SDR television and as a member of the DISKUSS youth program . He also made his first appearances as a songwriter . By 1993 there were around 950 appearances on various stages and events as well as on radio and television . He wrote glosses , satires , short radio plays , series and radio plays (including eleven science fiction radio plays, three in dialect), among others for HR , WDR , RB , BR , ORB and SR . In 1998 his stage program started. To be German it doesn't take much… . The title song of the CD for the stage program, which bears the title Everything nice people ... , immediately came in fourth on the SWR2's list of best songs . In March of the same year it was CD of the month. In June 2006 the premiere of his stage program Ein Alter im Heim took place in the Horizonttheater in Cologne . Ekkes Frank has lived in Marche in Italy since 2003 . There he wrote the novel Disturbances , published in 2010 , in which he tells the story of two friends. He describes their involvement in the 1968 events, the conditions in the GDR and FRG, and personal developments.
