action

Australian actress Ellie Parker is trying to make a career in Hollywood . She goes to numerous audition appointments, puts on new clothes, tries out new language accents and takes acting courses. She is gradually becoming desperate and beginning to doubt herself. When she finds out that her boyfriend Justin is cheating on her, her self-esteem is down. Annoyed, she rushes to the next casting, but meets Chris on the way, which she builds something up again. So she moves out of Justin and looks for shelter with her friend Sam. Justin tries to get her back, but Ellie doesn't get involved. She wants to fall in love again quickly and wants a relationship in which she can finally be herself and not always just the way her boyfriend wants her to be. As an actress, she has to pretend she's somebody else and secretly she's a little scared of becoming like the person she pretends to be.

When Ellie loses faith in her chances of success, her manager doesn't try to convince her to try again. In his opinion, she lacks self-confidence and her eternal self-doubts, with which she annoys the people on set, no one would want to hear. He gives her back her papers and wishes her the best of luck with whatever she should choose.

When Ellie meets Chris again, she wants to start a relationship with him. After they have sex with each other, Chris confesses that he is bisexual and actually more interested in men. Angry, she throws him out of the house, even calls Justin again out of sheer anger and then says she wants to go to a casting again.
