Elysium is the eleventh studio album by the Pet Shop Boys . It was released by Parlophone on September 7, 2012 .

history

The Pet Shop Boys began writing the pieces for the album in Berlin in February 2011 over a period of five weeks. Mostly it was written during the Progress Live tour with Take That from May to July 2011. After all, it was recorded in Los Angeles with Andrew Dawson within three months of January 2012 . The collaboration with Dawson came after Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe heard about Dawson's work for Kanye West . Lowe emotionally compared the album to Behavior .

reception

Sven Kabelitz from Laut.de called the record "a sensitive album bursting with age wisdom" and awarded it four out of five stars.
