Emil Fischli (born December 13, 1922 in Näfels , † December 29, 2009 in Glarus , entitled to live in Riedern and Näfels) was a Swiss politician (CVP) .

biography

Emil Fischli, son of the locksmith Fridolin Fischli and Rosa Karolina née Bernardon, worked after completing a commercial training as a businessman , authorized signatory at the National Registrierkassen AG Zurich and from 1962 to 1976 as the deputy director of Therma AG in Schwanden .

Emil Fischli - he married Elisabeth in 1947, the daughter of the packer Peter Grab - died on December 29, 2009 at the age of 87 in the cantonal hospital in Glarus.

Political career

Emil Fischli - he joined the Christian Democratic People's Party (CVP) - was employed at the beginning of his political career from 1965 to 1971 as a part-time community administrator in Riedern and from 1965 and 1974 as an actuary for the Catholic Church Council in Glarus-Riedern. From 1968 to 1974 Emil Fischli took a seat in the Glarus district administrator for his party , before he took over the vacant seat of the government council of finance and trade director Dr. Fridolin Hauser took over. There he was head of the police and military department until his resignation in 1990.

In addition, he was canton president of CVP Glarus from 1968 to 1975, on the central board of CVP Switzerland and from 1979 to 1990 member of the board of the Swiss Conference of Justice and Police Directors. Fischli took on board memberships for the newspaper Vaterland and Kraftwerke Linth-Limmern AG . Most recently, Fischli presided over the Swiss Sports, Toto and Lotto Society from 1987 to 1993.
