Enjoy Yourself is the second studio album by Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue . It was released in October 1989.

history

Again with the team Stock Aitken Waterman , Minogue began after the success of their debut in February 1989 in London with the recordings for the successor. The actual recording sessions took place in April and July 1989. During these months, two singles were released in advance. The fourth single, Tears on My Pillow, is a cover originally from Little Anthony and the Imperials . Minogue heard the song when she was invited to dinner at Pete Waterman's house.

Success and criticism

Allmusic's Chris True wrote that because of the same production team it was not surprising that the record sounded similar to the first - which was good because at the time the formula was "pure gold". The album contains songs that are "catchy". The rating was 2.5 out of five stars. The Digital Spy site awarded three out of five stars. The album offers a little more variety than the debut, but has a little less charm. The album reached number one and quadruple platinum in the UK and number ninth in their native Australia . In Germany it reached number 33.
