Single releases

The first single, " Into the Blue ", premiered on BBC Radio 2 on January 27, 2014 and was released in most countries on January 28. After it was released, it placed twelve on the British singles chart , as well as at the top of the Hot Dance Club Songs . In Australia it is their first lead single that did not reach the top 40 as the song reached number 46. In Belgium and Ireland it reached the top 10, while in other countries the song did not stay true to expectations and was only placed in the middle.

"I Was Gonna Cancel" was released as a second single on May 11th. The song, which lyrically describes a bad day, was also produced by Pharrell Williams , so the music style is very reminiscent of "Get Lucky" and "Daft Punk". So far the song reached # 59 in the UK charts and # 25 in Croatia.

reception

Laut.de awarded 3 out of 5 stars and summarized:

“In the end, the listener enjoys a consistently solid dance-pop album, which, apart from the two songs" Into The Blue "and" Sexy Love ", rarely storms the peaks, but with the easy-going Enrique Iglesias duet" Beautiful "and the ambivalent braces hopper "Fine" only has to cross two really deep valleys. "

- Kai Butterweck : Laut.de

CDstarts.de awarded 5 out of 10 points and stated that Minogue would remain true to its successful concept, the erotic , that "depth [...] on this album is therefore out of place".

“Otherwise everything really stays the same, and that has both good and bad sides. On the one hand, you know exactly what you are getting into. On the other hand, you get the boring feeling that you already know most of it, which means that nothing really gets stuck. "

- Filiz Gärtner : CDstarts.de
