Eri Neumann (born January 26, 1897 in Hamburg , † March 1985 in Pfronten ) was a German folk actress and radio play speaker .

Life

After training as an actor, Eri Neumann made her debut in 1921 as "Antje" in Gorch Fock's Queen of Honolulu at the Low German Stage, which later became the Ohnsorg Theater . While she only practiced acting sporadically for the next few years, from 1934 she was part of the permanent ensemble of the Ohnsorg Theater. For over thirty years she played mostly comic roles alongside Otto Lüthje , Heidi Kabel , Erna Raupach-Petersen and Henry Vahl , which she made known nationwide through TV recordings in the ARD program . Eri Neumann also appeared in other television productions such as the entertainment show Haifischbar . From the beginning of the 1960s, she only took on roles irregularly.

Like her Ohnsorg colleagues, she also appeared again and again as a radio play speaker, for example in 1952 in the role of Zitronenjette with Magda Bäumken and Walter Scherau, among others .
