Erik Becker

Erik Becker (* July 14 i 1965 ) is a former German cyclist .

Becker won the GDR championship in cyclo-cross races twice , in 1986 and 1988. In 1989 he was second and in 1987 third in the title fights.

He started for SG Semper Berlin . In February 1992 he joined the RG Hamburg , where his father Peter Becker (long-time coach of Jan Ullrich ) founded a training group and shared apartment with Ullrich, Michael Giebelmann, Ralf Grabsch and André Korff . They started in Hamburg under the sponsorship of Panasonic .

Professional

After his active career, Becker was the sports coordinator of the Deutsche Telekom “Jan Ullrich” team and the Bavarian mountain bike coach.

Becker was the managing director of the Institute for Prevention and Diagnostics Regensburg (IPD). In 2003 he founded his own company (Beckercoaching) with a focus on performance diagnostics, training planning and corporate health management.
