Günter Bertram

Günter Bertram (born May 13, 1948 ) is a former German cyclist .

Athletic career

He began his cycling career in 1965 at BSG Motor Lauchhammer . From 1966 he started for TSC Berlin , from 1970 for SC Dynamo Berlin , after he had decided to mainly contest street races . He competed for the national team in the Tour of Austria (1970 21st) and the Bohemia Tour (1973 15th). His best placement in the GDR Tour , which he competed several times, was 7th in 1973. In 1972, his sports club won the national title in the team time trial on the road with Volker Schönfeld , Horst Brauer and Wolfram Fiedler .

He already competed successfully in cyclo-cross races in the youth classes. In 1972 he was able to win the GDR championship title in Wildau in the men's class .
