Erik Gustav Roger Israelsson (born February 25, 1989 in Kalmar ) is a Swedish football player . The multiple junior national player won the Swedish championship title with Kalmar FF in 2008.

Career

Israelsson started playing football at Lindsdals IF . In 2005 the midfielder joined the youth division of Kalmar FF. As a result, he also drew the attention of those responsible for the youth national team at Svenska Fotbollförbundet and was appointed to the Swedish U-17 team in summer 2006. On his debut, a 2-1 win over the Hungarian youth team, he took over the captain's armband from Andreas Landgren from the 50th minute on . As a result, he went through all the youth selections of the Swedish Association and made his debut at the age of 18 on February 5, 2008 in a 1-0 victory over the Ukrainian U-21 selection alongside other newcomers such as Walid Atta and Sebastian Rajalakso in the Sweden's U-21 . At the same time, he had played in the professional squad of his club, but was initially only a supplementary player and was only irregularly part of the squad. On September 28, he finally made his debut in the Allsvenskan when he was in the starting line -up in the 2-1 win against IF Elfsborg . At the end of the season he was able to raise the Lennart Johansson Cup with the team . Also in the following year he was only irregularly part of the first division squad, so that he could not stay in the U-21 selection.

In the 2010 season , Israelsson made the breakthrough alongside Tobias Carlsson , Paulus Arajuuri and Henrik Rydström and made 21 of his 24 season appearances from the start, with two goals this season he helped the club to ninth place in the table. In the following year he was also increasingly dangerous and scored seven goals this season, ahead of Daniel Sobralense and Ricardo Santos , he was the club's best goalscorer.
