Ricardo Henrique da Silva dos Santos (born February 13, 1987 ), Ricardo Santos for short , is a Brazilian soccer player .
Career
Santos started playing football at Volta Redonda . After his talent was discovered, he joined the youth team at Boavista SC . In spring 2007 he left his home country and went to the Swedish club Kalmar FF . In the Allsvenskan , however, he could not prevail initially, so that he played seven of his eight first division appearances as a substitute. Therefore, he was awarded in the 2008 season to Åtvidabergs FF , where he could boast twelve goals this season. Nevertheless, he could not prevail after his return to Kalmar FF at the end of the year and was awarded again. Until the summer he ran for the second division Jönköpings Södra IF . Again he distinguished himself as a regular goalscorer and scored seven goals in 13 games.
In the summer of 2009 Santos returned to Kalmar FF again. This time he sat down in the team and scored six goals in the Allsvenskan by the end of the season. In the following season he was one of the regular players and was one of the top scorers in the league until the summer break. In the qualifying round for the 2010/11 Europa League , he scored a goal against EB / Streymur in both legs.
In January 2012 Santos moved to Djurgårdens IF within Sweden . Under coach Magnus Pehrsson , he immediately belonged to the regular players at his new club, but he turned his back on the club after a half series. At the beginning of August of that year he moved to the Norwegian club Sogndal Fotball . At first he was also a regular here, but at the beginning of the following season he switched between the starting eleven and the bench. In July 2013 he then returned to Sweden and joined the first division club Åtvidabergs FF as the successor to Viktor Prodell, who had moved to Belgium .
In 2015 he moved to Asia . Here he signed a contract with the Chinese Club Beijing Renhe , a club based in Beijing . After 27 games and eleven goals, he went to Japan in 2016 to join Cerezo Osaka . Here he played in the first team as well as in the U23 team. In 2018 he moved to league competitor Fagiano Okayama , a club that also plays in the second division of Japan, the J2 League . He moved to Thailand in 2019. Here he signed a contract with Chainat Hornbill FC , a club from Chainat that plays in the country's first division, the Thai League . After Chainat relegated to the second division, he left the club and joined the first division side Trat FC from Trat .
