Erik Schubert (born February 12, 1996 ) is a former German cyclist who competes in races on track and road .

Athletic career

In 2013 Erik Schubert took third place in the junior team pursuit at the 2013 German Track Cycling Championships, together with Konrad Geßner , Robert Jägeler and Robert Krause . In the following year he became German junior vice-champion in the same discipline with John Mandrysch , Paul Zeise and Jägeler.

In 2017 Schubert was nominated for the U23 European Railway Championships , where he finished twelfth in the Omnium . At the three-country championship in 2018 , he finished tenth in the ranking of the German U23 drivers. A few weeks later, Schubert won the title of German championship points race at the German track championships in Dudenhofen . He then ended his career and began studying because he saw no prospects for himself in cycling.
