Erkmannsdorf is a district of the town of Schleiz in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .

The district of Erkmannsdorf is located on the edge of a slope towards the Saale valley. The areas of the former Vorwerk lie on a typical flat plateau in the south-east of Thuringia slate mountains in a part of what is still known as the western Schleizer Oberland. This settlement is well connected in terms of transport.
