Erna Augusta Brinkman (born March 25, 1972 in Sneek , Friesland ) is a former Dutch volleyball player .
Career
Brinkman started her volleyball career at home VC Sneek. With the Dutch national team , she was runner-up in Italy in 1991 and finished sixth at the Olympic Games in Barcelona a year later . Then she moved to the German Bundesliga for USC Münster , with which she became German runner-up. She then played for two years with league rivals 1. VC Schwerte . With the national team she won the European Championship in 1995 in her own country and in 1996 she took part in the Olympic Games in Atlanta for the second time, in which she finished fifth. In the 1996/97 season, the outside attacker played in Japan at Itoyokada Tokyo and a year later in Brazil at Rio de Janeiro VC , with which she won the national championship. Then Brinkman moved to Italy, where she played at Volley Napoli , Monte Schiavo Jesi , Viva Volley Tortoreto and Volley 2002 Forlì . With the RC Cannes she won the French championship in 2003. She then returned to Italy and played for Cerdisa Reggio Emilia , Fornarina Civitanova Marche and Sassuolo volley. In 2006/07 Brinkman ended her career in Russia with Leningradka Saint Petersburg .
