Ernst Dostal (sculptor)

Ernst Dostal (born December 31, 1921 in Brno / Czechoslovakia ; † March 30, 2017 ) was a German sculptor whose works shape the Wiesbaden cityscape.

life and work

Dostal attended the teacher training college in Brno and after the Second World War worked for a wood sculptor in Tauberbischofsheim . In 1948 he enrolled at the Wiesbaden School of Applied Arts and then studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt until 1955 . After completing his studies, he entered the school service of the State of Hesse and worked as an art teacher at the Gutenberg School in Wiesbaden.
