Ernst Nowak

Ernst Nowak (born March 13, 1944 in Vienna ) is an Austrian writer .

Life

Ernst Nowak studied stage and costume design at the Vienna Academy of Applied Arts , then German literature and history at the University of Vienna . In 1974 he received his doctorate in philosophy with a thesis on Franz Kafka . In 1979 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . Nowak lives today as a freelance writer in Vienna .

Ernst Nowak is the author of narrative prose , poems , scripts and radio plays .

Ernst Nowak is a member of the IG Authors Authors . He received u. a. In 1975 the Amstettner Kulturpreis and the Advancement Award for Literature of the State of Lower Austria , in 1976 a state grant from the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education and Art and in 1977 the Advancement Award of the City of Vienna .
