Etzersdorf-Rollsdorf is a former municipality with 1116 inhabitants (as of October 31, 2013) in Styria . As part of the municipal structural reform in Styria , it was merged with the municipalities of Sankt Ruprecht an der Raab and Unterfladnitz on January 1, 2015 , the new municipality continues to bear the name Sankt Ruprecht an der Raab. The basis for this is the Styrian Municipal Structural Reform Act - StGsrG. A challenge to the amalgamation, which the municipality had brought before the Constitutional Court , was unsuccessful.

Etzersdorf-Rollsdorf is located in the Weiz district in the Austrian state of Styria .

The municipality comprised the following three localities (population in brackets as of January 1, 2020):
- Etzersdorf (524)
- Rollsdorf (394)
- Lohngraben (258)
The district consists of the cadastral communities Etzersdorf and Lohngraben.
history
Etzersdorf was first mentioned in a document around 1040. 1188 the place is noted as "Ozenstorf". The name goes back to the Old High German personal name Ozi .
The earliest written document from Rollsdorf is from 1326 and is "Radegoisdorf". The name goes back to the old Slavic personal name * Radigojъ .
In 1968, in the course of the amalgamation of municipalities in Styria, the former municipalities of Lohngraben and Etzersdorf were combined to form the municipality of Etzersdorf-Rollsdorf.
On January 1, 2015, the municipality merged with the neighboring village Unterfladnitz with the market town of Sankt Ruprecht an der Raab in the course of the Styrian municipal structural reform.
politics
Erwin Salmhofer (ÖVP) was the last mayor of the community since 2010. After the 2010 elections, the municipal council was composed as follows: 7 SPÖ , 8 ÖVP .

Blazon : A silver shield head topped with a red overturned palmette frieze, including three spring knot flowers growing out of the shield base, one of which has two blossoms.

There are 2 volunteer fire brigades (FF Etzersdorf, FF Rollsdorf), 1 football club (USV Rollsdorf), 2 tennis clubs (TC Etzersdorf, UTV Rollsdorf) in the former municipality.
