Eugen Bakumovski (born October 11, 1980 in Zaporozhye , Ukrainian SSR ) is a former German national volleyball player .

Career

Eugen Bakumovski began his career in Minden in 1993. Just a year later, the DVV wanted to include him in the youth national team, but this turned out to be impossible because Bakumovski was not yet a German citizen at that time . In 1996 he moved to Moers and then to Mendig for two years. After moving to SCC Berlin in 2002, he became German champion in his first season . In addition, he now played in the senior national team, since he had received a German passport on November 27, 2002. He took part in the 2003 European Championship , where Germany finished seventh. In the following season he was able to repeat the success with the Charlottenburgers. He then moved to Italy, where he played one season each in Taranto and Ancona . However , he was not nominated for the 2006 World Cup . From 2006 to 2008 he played in Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Poland . Eugen Bakumovski then played again in Germany for Generali Haching and won the German Cup in 2009 and 2010 . After a short engagement in Bottrop , Eugen Bakumovski went to Turkey to Beşiktaş Istanbul . In 2011 he briefly returned to the Bundesliga and played for Chemie Volley Mitteldeutschland . In 2011/12 Bakumovski played for the Italian second division club Edilesse Conad Reggio nell'Emilia , before moving to Leipzig in 2012 to the German second division club L.E. Volleys changed.

Since 2003 Eugen Bakumovski has also been active as a beach volleyball player in some tournaments . In the 2011 season he started together with Nils Rohde from Kiel . After changing partners, Eugen Bakumovski played several tournaments on the German Smart Beach Tour with the youth national player Philipp Arne Bergmann .
