Nottingham Forest

Bopp played in the youth team of FC Bayern Munich before moving to the academy of the English club Nottingham Forest on June 20, 2000 at the age of 16 . His first professional contract with Nottingham Forest he received on September 11, 2000. Bopp was an important member of the U-19 team, with which he won the U-19 championship on the side of Jermaine Jenas and Michael Dawson 2000/01. Bopp played 77 point games for the Nottingham Forest first team - half of them from the start. In his six seasons he scored eight league goals. His best time at the club was the 2002/03 season , in which Nottingham Forest reached the playoffs for promotion to the Premier League . Rotherham United

Crewe Alexandra

Bopp was signed by Crewe Alexandra on May 30, 2007. First he had to adapt to the team and fight for a regular place. He was not comfortable in Crewe and was put on the transfer list in January 2008. On May 7, 2009 it was announced that Bopp had terminated the contract with Crewe Alexandra by mutual agreement.

Portsmouth FC

Bopp was added to the Portsmouth squad for the first friendly against Havant and Waterlooville. Bopp played the entire second half and scored both goals in the 2-2 draw. Portsmouth were keen to sign Bopp ahead of a Premier League game against Wigan Athletic on October 31. However, the Premier League refused to register the Portsmouth player because the club's debts were not registered and an embargo (no signing) was imposed on the club. Bopp, however, continued to play for the reserve team.

Carl Zeiss Jena

On December 7, 2010, Bopp signed a contract with FC Carl Zeiss Jena in the 3rd division . He made his debut for Carl Zeiss Jena in the December 11 game against Dynamo Dresden. He played in 16 league games for the club before leaving the club in June 2011.

York city

Bopp returned to England after signing a contract with York City in Conference National on March 22, 2012 until the end of the 2011/12 season. He made his debut in the 69th minute in a 2-1 away win against Luton Town on March 30, 2012, where he prepared both goals. On April 7, 2012, he suffered a broken collarbone in a home game against Fleetwood Town and was out for the remainder of the season. His contract was not renewed at the end of the season and he remained without a club until July 1, 2015.

Dunkirk FC / Basford United FC

After years without a club he joined for the season 2015/16 the in the county Nottinghamshire -based FC Dunkirk , which he left after three months and the FC Basford United , a Vortortverein of Nottingham , joined. He made his debut in the seventh-class Northern Premier League on October 17, 2015 in a 3-0 home win against Belper Town FC. National team

Bopp completed two international matches for the U-19 national team . He made his debut in the national jersey on September 4, 2001 in Landskrona in a 4-0 victory in the qualifying game for the European Championship in 2002 against Sweden with a substitute for Emmanuel Krontiris in the 65th minute. He played his second international match on October 11, 2001 in a 2-2 draw, also in the qualifying match for the 2002 European Championship against Turkey , before being substituted for Philipp Lahm in the second half .

Eugen Bopp's father is German from the Black Sea and his mother is Ukrainian. His brother Viktor , who is six years younger , was part of the youth department from 1997 to 2008 and of the second team of FC Bayern Munich in the 2008/09 season . From 2009 to 2011 he played in the second team of Hannover 96 , then until 2013 for the Belgian first division club SC Charleroi . From January to June 2014 he was active for third division club Wacker Burghausen .
