Eugen Maucher (born July 16, 1912 in Gaisbeuren ; † December 4, 1991 in Biberach an der Riss ) was a German CDU politician .

Life

Eugen Maucher was first a farmer in his parents' business. Later he worked for a savings and Loan Fund. From 1940 to 1945 he was in the Wehrmacht and returned seriously damaged by the war. After the war he was employed by the Ravensburg pension office .

Political party

Maucher belonged to the young center until 1933. In 1946 he was a co-founder of the CDU Gaisbeuren. In the 1960s he was chairman of the CDU district association Biberach .

MP

Maucher was a member of the municipal council of Biberach an der Riss from 1951 to 1972. From 1947 to 1952 he was a member of the state parliament for Württemberg-Hohenzollern for the constituency of Biberach and then from 1952 to July 11, 1958 of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , before resigning from his seat. His successor was Eugen Braun . Maucher was a member of the German Bundestag from 1953 to September 16, 1956 and from January 30, 1958, when he replaced the late Josef Brönner , until 1976. Here, too, he represented the constituency of Biberach .
