Eva Rechlin

Eva Edita Anna Helene Rechlin , actually: Eva Bartoschek-Rechlin , also: Eva Bartoschek (born September 17, 1928 in Prillwitz ; † April 30, 2011 in Berchtesgaden ) was a German writer .

Life

Eva Rechlin was the daughter of the Protestant pastor and later provost Karl-Ferdinand Rechlin (1891–1956). She grew up in different places in Mecklenburg ; u. a. the father worked in Wesenberg and from 1934 in Neubrandenburg . Eva Rechlin attended elementary school and then a lyceum . From 1943 the family lived in Pinnow, Mecklenburg . After the invasion of the Red Army , Eva Rechlin had to drop out of school and do forced labor for the Soviet occupation forces. After suffering severe abuse and contracting typhus, she managed to escape to the British occupation zone , where she lived in the Lüneburg Heath . In the meantime, she suffered from hunger edema , but it was not until 1948 that she received permission to travel to Sweden for medical treatment . After her return, she settled down as a freelance writer in Berchtesgaden . From the 1949 marriage with Arnold Bartoschek a son emerged in 1951.

Eva Rechlin had already started writing literary texts as a student. From the beginning of the 1950s she published novels , short stories , books for children and young people , poems , lyrics , plays for amateur theater , radio plays and screenplays for television plays . She had been a member of the Lower Saxony Writers' Association since 1947; later she belonged to the Association of German Writers .

Eva Rechlin spent the last years of her life in Schönau am Königssee .
