action
A prominent New England doctor has been murdered and his young nephew Felix is suspected of murder.
The casual prostitute Angela Crispini hires private investigator Tom O'Toole to look for evidence that could exonerate Felix. She tells O'Toole that Felix is innocent and that everyone knows the right culprit. O'Toole falls in love with Crispini. As a result, his relationship suffers, in which there are arguments.
O'Toole finds out that Crispini was with the prosecutor who is determined to scapegoat Felix for two years. He also finds out that Jerry committed the murder.
Crispini tells the prosecutor that numerous prominent local residents are involved in the drug trade.
O'Toole persuades Jerry to tell the judge in charge. You're going to see the judge - O'Toole in the car, Jerry on his motorcycle. On the way Jerry drives on the wrong side of the road, he is run over by a truck and killed. Crispini himself tells the judge about the events, whereupon Felix is released. O'Toole urges the judge to prosecute the corrupt celebrities, which the judge denies. Later he sees Crispini, who visits the judge privately.
