Jeremy Thomas

Jeremy Thomas CBE (born July 26, 1949 in Ealing , London ) is a British film producer .

Thomas is the son of director Ralph Thomas and nephew of director Gerald Thomas . His career as a producer and executive producer has spanned films by Bernardo Bertolucci , Nagisa Ōshima , Stephen Frears , David Cronenberg and many others. In 1987 he received the Oscar and the British Academy Film Award for the best film for The Last Emperor . In 2001 Thomas received the British Independent Film Award for best producer. In 2006 he received the European Film Prize for outstanding achievements in European film.

Jeremy Thomas was President of the International Jury at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1994 .
