Evestorf is a village in the municipality of Wennigsen (Deister) in the Hanover region .

geography

The place is between Sorsum in the north and Holtensen in the south. The core town of Wennigsen is to the west.

On the northern outskirts of Evestorf the Brede Becker Bach and unite Wennigser Mühlbach to Ihme .

history

Evestorf is first mentioned in a document in 1252 as the property of the Wennigsen monastery , at that time still under the name "Everdestorpe". From 1817 Evestorf fell under the administration of the Wennigsen office , in 1852 there was a land consolidation and the "community" Evestorf was founded. As part of the regional reform, Evestorf became part of the unified municipality of Wennigsen (Deister) in 1970 .

The village has had a local council since 2001. Only the Independent Voting Community Evestorf ran for the 2011 local elections. Ernst Herbst was elected local mayor. The municipal acts are carried out by the mayor of the municipality.

Economy and Infrastructure

In the easternmost part of the Evestorf district on the border with Vörie in the town of Ronnenberg is the municipality's sewage treatment plant. Waste water from Lemmie , a district of the city of Gehrden, is also cleaned here.

Evestorf is connected to the B217 east of the village by Hannoversche Straße.
