Ewald George von Pirch

Ewald George von Pirch (born April 24, 1728 in Poganitz , † January 15, 1797 in Köslin ) was a Prussian judicial attorney and from 1769 to 1797 President of the Court Court in Köslin.

Life

family

Ewald George came from the rear Pomeranian aristocratic family Pirch and was the eldest son of the Prussian premier lieutenant and heir to Poganitz Ernst Friedrich von Pirch (* 1689; † 1761) and Anna Margaretha von Massow adH Groß Voltz († 1730). He was not married.

career

Pirch received his schooling at the Collegium Fridericianum in Königsberg from 1744 , then moved to the University of Königsberg in 1747 .

A first job as an auscultator did not come about after being rejected by the king "... because there were already too many of them". In 1751 he became a trainee lawyer at the Prussian court in Königsberg. The following year he was the judicial director in Liebstadt , and in 1753 already director of the judicial college in Mohrungen . In 1765 he was allowed to fill the position of director at the judicial college in Neidenburg for six months , then in 1767 he was transferred to the judicial college in Insterburg .

On November 30, 1768, he asked for the position of the Court President of the Court of Köslin , which had become vacant when George Friedrich von Broecker left because of illness . After an audience with the king in Berlin and the intercession of the Grand Chancellor on May 24, 1769, he was able to prevail against his competitor Joachim Abraham von Oesterling , District Administrator of Greifenhagen , and received confirmation as President of the Court on May 27. In the same year he passed the Rigorosum . He was invited to several audiences on the occasion of the king's revue trips, including on June 5, 1783 in Neustettin .

In 1797 he died of dropsy .
